MAHADEVI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY – BA (Hons.) Journalism Program is a three year graduate program. The program is affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. The program offers students an interdisciplinary foundation in the basic theory and skills necessary to become media practitioners of different areas. Graduates of this program are open to a myriad career options – Print and Television Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, and Corporate Communications etc.Students are given an opportunity to work on live projects which gives them an edge over their contemporaries. The set of curriculum is especially designed in a way that helps to prepare young people with multi-skills needed for employment in the exciting and rapidly growing mass media industry.

Note:

1.To make students aware of technical and aesthetical aspects of Television Journalism.
2.To develop capacity of evaluation and analysis of the events happening around us.
3.To develop skills for writing script, Voice Over and for these medium.
4.To know and understand the moral and legal responsibilities of Journalism and medium of Mass Communication.

Admission Eligibility

  • Candidate should be 12th passed or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board / Council with minimum 45% marks for general (open) category and 40% marks for students of SC and ST category.
  • Age Requirement: The minimum age requirement for BAJMC is 17 years.
